The International Pharmaceutical Excipients Council is the global association of manufacturers and users of pharmaceutical Excipients. This federation of regional associations (IPEC Americas, Europe, Japan, China) focuses on the applicable law, regulations, science, and business practices. IPEC Celebrated its 20th Anniversary in Baltimore!
IPEC-Americas celebrated its 20th Anniversary at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore Maryland's Inner Harbor, May 9, 2011! The Anniversary Conference was held in conjunction with ExcipientFest 2011, which reported record attendance.
The highlight of the Anniversary Conference was the Celebratory Gala dinner to benefit the IPEC Foundation and featured the "Capitol Steps - Americas Favorite Political Satire Group" sponsored by Mutchler, Inc. The IPEC Foundation offers awards and scholarships and is designed to promote research and development in the Excipient realm.
IPEC Federation formed to be voice for regional councils

The IPEC Federation has been formed to provide a single voice for the regional councils, Americas, Europe, Japan and China, and promote quality in pharma excipients.
Forming a unified body to represent the International Pharmaceutical Excipient Councils (IPEC) is viewed as an important step in promoting the harmonisation of standards, supply chain security and further developing third-party certification.
Patricia Rafidison, chair of the IPEC Federation, added: "The excipient industry has always been complex, with huge diversity among suppliers, and globalisation has added to that complexity.
“For that reason it is more important than ever before that the industry can speak with one unified voice."
